Capitol Rubber Stamp Service is a family
owned and operated business serving Austin and beyond
for over forty years. From the beginning, founder, Jack
Sodke, offered friendly, personal service and great products.
Sharon Pike bought the business in 1986, and she continues
that tradition today. Although technology has drastically
changed the world, the need to make a good impression
remains the same. We are confident that our printing,
engraving, and rubber stamps....of course will make a
great impression for you.
Our engraving department offers you many
services. Not only do we produce desk and door signs,
name badges and information plates;
we also offer notary, professional and corporate seals
and stationary embossers, plaques, and our newest advance,
4 color sublimated badges and tags. With this new technology,
we offer full color photo ID’s as well as full-color
company logos for increased name identification.
We can also furnish all of the acccessories needed to
use these engravables in the office environment. These
include metal and wood holders for doors and desks; pins,
magnets, lanyards and clips for personal wear; and velcro
and double stick tapes and glues for special applications.
Our embossers and seals come in handheld, desk, and electric
models; we work with you to help you choose the best style
for your needs. Plaques are available in almost any size
and shape, from 2”x3” to huge and even Texas
shaped wood for special plaques. All can be produced in
metal or plastic in an amazing array of colors. We typeset
them for you, add your logo if you like and offer you
a proof to insure your satisfaction. Please call us for

We offer a variety of stamps for business,
personal, and art use. They include regular “old
fashioned” hit-the-pad stamps; reliable self-inking
stamps in several sizes; and the newest type of stamp
that technology offers - pre-inked stamps. Our turn-around
time is just one day (in by 3pm, out by 11am) for all
stamps, including speciality stamps such as daters, numberers,
signature and professional stamps to keep your office
or home running smoothly and efficiently. You can pick
up your order at our shop, or we’ll deliver or ship
it to you via UPS for your convenience. We also produce
stamps for the “office-in-crisis” in as little
as 20 minutes - please call for details. We carry a complete
line of inks for every need, including applications on
slick papers, wood, metal, glass, circuit boards and other

Capitol Rubber Stamp’s “secret”
department is the printshop. (People think we only make
stamps!) We have a full service printing department with
the same friendly service of our other departments. We
produce everything needed for business or home uses, including
letterhead, envelopes, desk pads, invoices and multi-part
forms, business and calling cards, brochures, doorhangers,
flyers, stickers, invitations and announcements. We print
using the pantone matching system (PMS), and all types
of paper (most are laser compatible). We use vegetable-based
ink and recycled paper as often as possible. Typesetting
